The fishtails look great! Got some on my 19RM attached to my Tab Zombies! The Tabs are the second best decision I ever made, after the first which was getting the RM! Gorgeous color! I wonder if my wheels can look that good again one day. I'll have to try haha:unsure::ROFLMAO:

Appreciate the feedback. So I did a longer test ride today. I'm a little bummed about the sound. I have a 22 Springfield with Rush Racing Performance slips ons with non fishtail caps. I LOVE the sound and get lots of compliments. Nice deep rumble, not too loud. I ordered the exact same set-up for the RM but this time with the fish tails from Indians. I just did some riding, then side by side testing, and the RM sounds a bit wimpy to me. Not as good as the Springfield. The SF is a 111 and the RM is 116. Otherwise, I think pretty much the same bike. Could it just be the fish tails alone and different caps would sound different? Thanks.

Have added a Magic-Stobes flasher from Custom Dynamics to the trunk. Now have both the trunk and brake light with flashers. One can choose from several flash patterns and select the pattern desired.
Also added saddlebag lid covers form Shorefire Designs. These things are excellent quality and the fit is awesome.

Love the strobe on the trunk! Compliments my Skene Lights great! Lid covers look awesome! Its so shiny it looks dirty in the last pic, the reflection off the ground! Maybe I can make mine do that too, its the same color

Thanks for the compliments. Spot on with that being a reflection. Really didn't notice it when taking the photo. Guess I should have paid a little more attention. The good shine comes from using F11 Pro. I recommend it. Provides depth to color in addition to the great shine.

Personally believe in being seen as much as possible. I think the brake / strobe function being added to the trunk will help in adding braking notification, more at eye level, to the "crazy cagers".

I keep mine on strobe on always when the brake is on. And my Skene lights have a nice shimmer to them too. And a flash pattern when the brake is activated. I have some F11 too, just need to finish wiping it down!

I took mine for about 70 miles worth of a ride and then we went on a boat ride for one of our local ferry boats. As always lots of compliments.

I'm a big fan of the American Elites. The handle great and give a lot of mileage. I have been very happy with them. Dean

Well, with the long holiday weekend here and the fact that it rained most of the weekend, I used the time to do some maintenance on the RM. I had put out there in the past how to help the lean angle from the stock kickstand by shimming between the kickstand forks. Now with 70,000 miles on the bike and many good years the lean angle was starting to show more angle again. I purchased some parts from a forum member who had triked his Indian and that came with a newer kickstand that still used the original downtube attachment. Also picked up a new pivot bolt with it. Again, the stock gap between the kickstand fork was considerable, but not as bad as my original unit. I had to sand my shim down just slightly to be able to get the shim in to take out the slop. With a little time and patience the kickstand goes back and forth easily and has no slop. Still leans a bit more the Vintage but much better that what I had.

I also used this time to go ahead and replace the original clutch cable on the RM. Heard many good things about the Barnett units and bought the stock length. Even then with the new cable laid next to the stock unit the Barnett unit was still about 4 inches longer. Not a big deal for me since I had the mid rise handlebars on RM. This allowed me to go back and route the cable back in front of the handlebars before routing down the down tube. I seem to remember some saying here that they changed the cable on the side of the road. If so, I don't know how they did it! I thought the attachment at the top of the down tubes bolted in from each side and realized that those bolts go in on the left side and have threads in the right down tube to bolt up together. Got to admit, this is was not one of Indians best designs. Kinda stupid to have the cable assy so tight against the down tube and the engine that the down tube has to be removed to get the cable in and out. So being on a RM that meant that the lower fairing, left and right foot floorboards, and crash bar all had to come off.

The old cable still looked fine, no chaffing or broken cable strands, but the new Barnett unit works very well and I do seem to have a bit more feel on the clutch engagement. The design seems to be about the same between the stock unit and the Barnett with the only difference being that there is not boot covering the cable down at the bottom. Since there is no boot on the Barnett cable down at the clutch lever down by the engine I put a bit more of the silicone grease down in that area. Dean

Sounds like it's a little bit involved. How long did it take to change the cable out.

About 4 hours. Between doing the jack stand work and this was about a day. Now that I have done it and figured out what needs to be done it would be much quicker. Granted it helps having the bike on a platform lift and have a scissor jack to help support the engine when you take the down tube supports out. Just pretty dumb to have it routed that tight between the engine and the downtube. I did not see any way to route it differently to do it in the future but with the reliability of the Barnett stuff I think once will be enough. Dean
