For the money we are paying for this product this is crap. I am ready to set my new 2023 on fire. Indian you have sucked the life right out of riding! I pay over 30k and have a speed limited bike of 110? Freeway speeds are 80 and people go 90. I can't pass or even keep up if I wanted to. It doesn't matter how nice the bike looks if I'm unhappy with one major thing then all the other discrepancies get my attention and make me even more unhappy. Fit and finish etc. You have missed the mark on the essences of riding. Riding is about freedom, we get to choose not you. Then we have to spend $500.00 if you can even find it or get it to tune and fix your mistakes? Why? Are you not a rider? Clearly not a good builder. I wish you would take your over priced crapy product back and give me my money back. You can't even put a good paint job on. Speed limited to 110 starts the whole unhappiness and then you look at all the other things you did poorly. For this kind of money you should treat you customers right. Speed limited to 110? Please give me my money back so I can go buy a bike from a company who loves riding.

Great first post. Shut the door quietly on your way out please. You obviously didn’t do enough research before buying so guess where I’m putting the blame? 🤔

Edit** As much as you couldn’t have possibly read the forum rules maybe you’ll get sight of this. Maybe get someone to read it for you!

Oh good. Been missing a first post from a troll that can't Introduce themselves and has NOTHING good to say about a great machine.
Thanks for sharing your special brand of sunshine! Do your eyes work, or were you blindfolded when negotiating your purchase?
I imagine no one held a gun to you head to buy the Indian.....
Please relieve yourself of it immediately - IF, in fact you actually bought one. You certainly don't deserve it.

Weeeeel.... I was steaming angry when I first came here ( many years ago) regarding my brand new (2016) RM when It started clacking at the 100 mile mark.

So Imma gonna give him a lil "slack" just to try to "turn the tide" on this thread..

Soooo, @Reggit96, your stock tires are probably rated "H" - up to 130 mph.

You can get a Fuel Moto PV3, flash their "improved stock" tune. IIRC, the limit is raised BUT you can certainly ask them to send you the tune with whatever limit you want.

EDIT: @Baron58 , down below, says you gotta Challenger wid a locked ECU - so I looked up and done seen we're in the Challenger section..

Soooo, I'm sorry, nevermind..

The original post is pretty much off track.... he should go buy a Ducati StreeFighter and then very quickly discover that HE is the limiting factor, not the bike. That'll illustrate that bikes are made for specific purposes.

You can b***h and moan about not going fast enough but at the end of the day the Challenger is built for a different purpose and his expectations are out of line with the bikes primary design parameters.

There have been many times when I wished my Challenger had another 50 hp and weighed 200lbs less..... but then I realized that's not what it is designed to be. So I have to remember that if I want outright performance I just go home and change bikes. But hey, I could b***h all day about my StreetFighter too if I chose to..... there isn't room for a pair of gloves on that bike!!! (That is NO exaggeration, it's a fact). I rode it from Seattle to Montana and back once but my buddies on their Harleys had to carry ALL my gear ..... that got expensive after a while because I had to buy them beers every night for carrying my shit.

I have the RVS Challenger tune and did one high speed run at WOT. Suffice to say it went past the old limiter by a lot but stability wasn't good at all. The aerodynamics start working against it at around 110 - 120.

Moral of the story, don't buy the wrong bike.

i agree with the OP that it's shyte that the top speed is artificially limited..
I don't give a (fill in expletive of choiice) that it's at 25 mph over any US speed limit.. cos i don't live in the US but did just traverse Germany yesterday.. with long stretches with no speed limit at all..
the bike was perfectly stable and has plenty of power to take it beyond 176kmh

It's probably a legal issue that made Indian put a cap on the top speed.. just wish they were clear and open about it before selling us the bikes.

(still love the bike though)

They only want $249000 for this.
This is what you want … Not a Tour/Cruiser/Bagger Motorcycle …

I bought my Ducati 999 to satisfy my need for Speed … but with my Indian it’s all about a relaxing ride … So y’all go on ahead… I’ll be at the back of the pack … but I’ll get there in comfort and style … 😁

my '22 Challenger has gone 145 .... but... has a tune and they killed off that 110 crap :) Hell, my '14 has done 125 ... wait... has a tune as well :)

Aside from a horrible exaggeration of not being able to "keep up," this is all hot air unless you've sent this to Indian corporate as well. We've heard it all. They probably haven't, but should.

I have a 116 3 stage on my 2018 Indian Roadmaster. Gone 110 mph with no problem and cruises at that speed behind another biker, a "Vago", he was leading me down the WB 210 fwy here in So Cal. Indian did the tune on my Bike so I am not sure what is up with this guy.

Ok, I understand your frustration. When I bought a Jeep gladiator, I LATER found out the speed was limited to 97MPH. I purchased an unlocked ECU and set the governor to 160. I don’t know if you can override your governor and reset the top limit, but I would look into that first. If you can’t, consider trading it in for another Indian that’s not so brutally limited. I have an Indian Super Chief Limited that easily tops 120, haven’t had the juice to push it further!
But you shouldn’t bad mouth Indian in general. The build quality on my Super Chief is excellent and the paint job draws raves wherever I go. Last month I rode it from Florida to Nova Scotia and back (5,000 miles in 13 days) and didn’t have a single problem with it. Comfortable, fast, smooth and beautiful. Give Indian a chance.
