I was using em on my Triumph and they worked fine, however,I didn't pay no 60 bucks for em.Try going to the Sixity website to see if they're cheaper.60 bucks sounds like the price Polaris is charging for em,or price gouging.I mean,if ya have to buy em,then buy em.But if ya don't need em right away, then shop around. That's what I do and as much as I hate to admit it,I learned that from the wife.Good luck! Dave!!!

I just received the set of the brake pads I ordered for my SDH from Sixity,[ ordered thru Amazon] but am some what disappointed. Why??Because, the linings on these pads, just like the replacement pads I bought from Indian, are noticeably thinner then the original pads by atleast 1/4 of the original lining thickness. The last set of pads I bought from Sixity for my Triumph had the same lining thickness as the original pads on that machine!! Dave!!!

Dave!!!
The cost of full sets Indian pads for both dual front and rears would be well over $200! For $65 from Sixity you get both fronts sets plus the rears, even with thinner linings, you come out ahead $$. IMO

You are correct! Don't know what I was thinking when I posted that. But "YES" they are WAY cheaper from Sixity. cause ya get all three sets for the same price ya pay for one set from Indian. What I was tryin to say is , the linings on these pads were also thiner then the original pads that came on the bike, just like the replacement pads I bought from Indian! Anyways, I corrected my above post!! My appologies sir!!! Dummy Dave!!!:rolleyes:

It would be interesting to know what company makes the pads for SIXITY.

Anyways, I looked on their site a few days ago and see that they sell ceramic pads. A year or so ago I'd read somewhere that ceramic pads can or will wear the rotors due to the hardness of the pads, and there are rotors made specifically for use with the ceramic pads. Don't know if that's true. Maybe @Davetac1 could/would be able to comment on or verify this.

I put a set on my Roadstar. Bought them off Ebay. Can't remember what I paid but it was a good deal. They were fine and worked well. I just put a set of EBC HH on the front of my Vintage and really like the feel of them. Don't know about less dust. The wheels are always a mess when I clean them. I'm running without the front caliper covers which helps.

Ceramic pads work very well indeed, however, they also make a lot of brake dust all over the wheels.I can't speak for the present day,but Ceramic pads were used as standard equipment on just about all the police units because they worked so well.
