What do you guys think is the remaining commercial lifecycle of the Thunderstroke engine? It is nearly ten years old now. I image they designed it to last 10-15 in the company's lineup, but seems like it could easily make it to 20+ given the air-cooled tech hasn't changes all that much. On the other hand the EPA has been tightening up emissions and who knows what that might be a catalyst for change wise. Seems pretty lean/efficient so that may not be a factor, but I don't know.
Do you think Indian will keep it around for another 10 years? Replace with another Air-cooled design in 3-5? Replace in the lineup with liquid cooled engines? Curious for everyones hot take on this. Cheers'
