hello and welcome from Italy , to download the map of Europe you have to go to the official Indian website and after creating your account or logging in if you already have it you can go to download map and choose your continent in this case Europe

 

I try to do it, using the map update app from Indian, but there is no option to choose the Europe maps. The motorcycle is com from Canada i don't know if that could be the reason.

Europe map is not complete, many eastern countries are not included

I took a trip to Lithuania and it was not included

 

are 28 gigabytes to transfer data

2017 model year uses a complete different ride command system as the the 2021 models, so it won't work anyway. Normal procedure would be for a 2017 model :
Plus an USB Stick into the USB port above the ride command and create a "key" with the ride ommand on the bike in the menu of the navigation menu. The stick should be max. 64GB and in FAT32 or exFat formatted. Then download the updater software from the Indian ride command software site. Install it and run it. Than plug the USB stick into your computer. Wait till the software recognize the stick with the created key. After that, you can download the new map.

BUT, as you stated, the the bike is originally from Canada, it got the north American map on it and it is connected to that, so you won't be able to download the European software. Only way due to this, would be to buy and pay for it at a local Indian motorcycle dealership.

So, you know, how it would work, but it will not work, cause the bike ist tied to the north American map und you can't download the European map for free.

The 2017-2019 ride command got nearly whole Europe maps. Way more than the version after 2020...
