I survived and walked away from this wearing a half helmet 3.5 years ago. I was in full riding gear as I won't ride in any less for this very reason.

If you look closely, it's all tangled up in the highway cables. The bike took out 3 vertical steel posts that hold the cables. Somehow I made it through them with little damage to my body.

I 'm curious if anyone has seen a helmet that matches the willow / cream vintage. I use a black brain bucket, but I figured that a bike this nice should have a color matched helmet. Any ideas?

While the OP hasn't been on the forum since Aug 2016, here is another idea. If wanting a helmet to match the bike, but not nnecessarily the color combination, try a custom graphic germane to the Indian Motorcycle . . .

That bell helmet looks like something an astronaut would wear. I kind of like it .

Wifey and I got the Biltwell Bonanza in vintage white. Looks good with the rig and a pretty decent helmet for the price. Biltwell Bonanza Helmet - RevZilla

A company called Skins could be of help, it’s stickers, you can apply and remove many times. Pretty easy if one had a full cream helmet and then apply the skins. Also can be made to fit anywhere on your ride now.

Don't know where they got them, but I saw a couple on a willow and cream near Shreveport La. They were wearing helmets color matched to their bike. They looked good.

Indian Makes a Helmet that matches my Chieftain Dark Horse Just Fine .. Was Free Too, can still see the Fuel Type Sticker on the Tank which took it off as soon as got home ..

I also have that half helmet, I like it, kinda cool, has hidden flip down goggles, and an adjustment band to help adjust to your head size. Fits me great and my wife says it looks good on me
