Coolant leak?

So I stop by the store for maybe 10 minutes, and when I come back out I see this:

It's not much, but it's definitely from the bike, 'cause I can see trails down the engine casing. Seems to be from somewhere in the area where the coolant hose enters the engine on the left side of the bike. However, riding it back home and parking it revealed no further leaks hours later. How concerned should I be? Palpating the coolant hose doesn't reveal any splits or leaks that I can find.

Check in between the cylinders for any pooling or drips, it could be your thermostat leaking and it running down between. Seems to be a common issue at least as far as I've seen on here.

I checked the engine out with a flashlight and the leak seems to be coming from the top, up around the valve covers. There's another hose there, and what looks like some sort of valve or thermostat. I can see dried coolant trails down from the top of the engine. It's kinda hard to see where it's coming from since there's so little clearance up there. Oh, well, methinks this is Indian's problem. Good thing the 1978 BMW R80 is in good running condition. Bikes were so simple back in the day, you know?

@dramsey - mine did this but just a little - IT WAS OIL!!!! some how the oil filter gasket was crimped and caused the leak - the motus oil indian uses is this same color. Do not ride till you check your oil level! and get it to the dealer asap.

I got my bike back today. The shop said the hose to the coolant overflow tank (it has a coolant overflow tank?) wasn't connected; and indeed appears never to have been connected. Hm. Do they ship these bikes with coolant in them? Anyway, glad it was something trivial to fix...
