Mentioned this in another thread, but wanted to demonstrate. I love the width and shape of the 1920 seat, but not the rigidity. Before upgrading the stock rear suspension, I wanted to test what classic spring seating would feel like. Low and behold, I don’t think I need to change any shocks.

The front lip slips into a section identical to the stock fitting

Nice job! I like to see folks that make what they need. I'm sure that you had fun working out the details. When I did my custom sprung seat it took me a while to get all the angles and spring strength right but I couldn't be happier with the results. And yes it elimated the issues that I had with the rear shocks. Enjoy the ride.

Nicely done. I would like to do the same thing to mine, but I really like the 1920 versions close off for the electronics. It would be cool to know more about how you did it.

Theres a few companies that make that plate. Take a look at Tank Machine and Wunderkind or mothers motorcycle seats they sell the seat and blockoff plate
