My girlfriend Lissette, during her first motorcycle ride, ever. West Palm Beach, this past July. We went almost 200 miles that day. She got some of all that makes riding what it is, super hot sun, seeing the Atlantic Ocean from a motorcycle eye view. And to finish it off, riding through a rain squall that was coming down so hard, I had to pull off the road until the worst passed. She loved it.

Thanks for starting this thread. As a new member and while catching up on old threads, this is one of my favorites to read, just wonderful.

I've always been a huge supporter of lady riders and in my youth taught many a girl to ride and I'm proud to say some went on to buy bikes and have a biker's life. My wife is not really into bikes, so will never rider BUT I have now got her (me...) a Chief Vintage, so she can come on rides with me and can't wait for her to get a sense of the joy and wonder of being on a bike - even if from the pillion seat.

My wife rides with the Women in the Wind, the largest womens riding group in the world. She started riding in 1984 on a 1980 Yamaha 250 Exciter, with the travel trunk.
I bought her this 2015 Can Am Spyder RSS for her birthday in July 2016 with 350 miles on it. She has over 12k miles on it now, and she loves it! We plan (God willing) to take a trip to the Northeast, and go through Maine this summer, but she has ridden the Tail of the Dragon in 2017, and did well. Curves don’t bother her, now lol.
