For those of you that installed the Kuryakyn sound bar, how difficult was the installation? There are just a few wires and I'm sure I can follow instructions and hook up wires. That being said, does it entail removing the gas tank to run the wires? Once again, I can follow instructions, but I don't need music that bad. I have a Cardo Packtalk headset, so I can listen to music, it just doesn't seem loud enough (maybe I just need to figure out different settings for the headset).
There are three wires your positive/negative battery connections and a ignition wire that needs to tee tap into a wire that turns on/off with the ignition. I removed my tank and ran the cable down to my battery but I do believe others were able to tap into wires up by the headlight (not 100% which ones though). Removing the tank wasn't all that difficult, quite a few YouTube videos on it as well.
Thank you. I’m not totally mechanically inept, but I’d sure hate to do something stupid. Maybe I’ll look up those videos and decide if I think I can do it, or just see how much the dealership will charge me to install it.
