That is wicked. You have inspired me sir. That was the first scout I wanted but couldn't afford one untill 2021 many years after that color was gone.

I bought a passenger backrest/rack, and installed it on the spools that I got previously to space the Viking saddlebags out enough to clear the belt guard.
it wasn’t very hard to mount the backrest, and I’m going to use the rack to bolt my 5 liter gas can to, freeing up the right saddlebag for stuff lol. It’s good to have something to strap luggage to, also, when taking a trip. I’m thinking of a platform on the rack to hold my dog carrier to, that should be pretty cool for Stanley.

Looking good and was Stanley named after Stan Laurel?

Think I might be inclined to either dye it or get it reworked to match the rest, the backrest I'm on about not the dog? Only a suggestion Charlie. (y)

Yeah, I just got the backrest, so I have time to get some Fiebings leather dye and match the color a little closer. As for the dog… he is very cool the way he is lol.

Some of the bike meets I attend in Summer are on soft ground. Also the wheels on my Scout are both 18" and she leans quite a bit on the side-stand. As mentioned previously had to 'fettle it' quite a bit to make it fit with the front pulley offset and clear the drive-belt. Raises her about 1/2" with the rubber sole I fitted to the kickstand shoe so the lean is not so acute. Saves me carrying a puck or looking for a beer can or bit of wood to stand it on!

Got my RAM phone mount today, and I must say that, like every RAM product I have ever used, it’s a great phone holder! The Garmin Zumo mount is on the right, and they should compliment each other well. I might have to rig up another USB charger Jack for the front, as my current one is inside the right saddlebag.

He is!! I rescued him, and he rescued me…🙏🏻
You see… I had another Pomeranian, Samson, who was killed by my neighbor’s pit bull a year ago last December. He was my best buddy, and we miss him very much. We adopted Stanley, four days after Samson died. They look so much alike, it’s uncanny… we adopted him from the Lucas County Pit Crew, who adopt out… Pit Bulls. It’s a God thing, He rescued both of us…🙏🏻
The first two photos are Samson, last one is Stanley.

Yea, I have that exact RAM mount. Love it! I used the handlebar bolt they sell with the round knob for attaching.

I removed the warning sticker off the gas tank. Then waxed the tank. Somehow I moved the left side mirror. When I started the bike the clutch lever got stuck on the mirror. Little anxious for a second.
