Just out of pure curiousity, would anyone be willing to trade their stock 2up seat for a reduced reach solo and passenger touring seat? I really like the look of the 2up seat. Both the tan and black. The solo seat is super comfortable but Im really not a fan of the looks. (Regular scout 69)
I wish you would have asked this last week before I ordered the same combo. :) I do have stock 2up (black) if interested.

Awesome

How is the manufacture of the windshield?
The Memphis Shades Fats windshield is pretty good. I picked this one up from my friends shop, he is a cycle salvage and has been parting out bikes for 30+ years. Had to order the correct kit ($130 eBay) to install it on the Scout, and also the turn signal relocation kit ($20) on eBay, but it works well. It is actually for a 7” headlight, so if I decide to go for a larger headlight, it is ready to fit. I have noticed that in heavy winds, it can be a little turbulent on the handling. But, I like it. Saved me about $120 over a new windshield.

Haven't done much on my bike since I did so much when I first bought it. Starting to ride a lot more with summer weather here in Idaho.
Today I removed the badges and put on the blackout ones from the new Indian Rogue. Decided not to put the scout badge on. Looks very sleek in person.

Nice!
Just ordered one of these myself, in Smoke Grey, waiting for it to arrive.
Keen to hear your thoughts after you test it!
I have taken three rides or so and honestly I don't really notice the difference myself. :/ I might look at the 24" Indian one. I do like the looks of the Dart screen though.

At the above meet at Weston stumbled across this. No owner present and unable to date. Any ideas greatly received.

It’s a rebadged Royal Enfield 750 Meteor, one of the last Indians before they went under in the late ‘60’s, most likely a 1967 or earlier as it has Amal Monoblock carbs on it. Indian used Royal Enfield 700 and 750 twins as they were not able to produce any of their own due to money being tight.

i have no wisdom.
i thought i was focused on my task of riding. i didn't see her. i don't know why.
i passed the hospital blood test for alcohol(it was only 6:15 AM)
i passed a second blood test by the local PD.
i have no wisdom. i thought i was alert.
i just missed something.
I hope you find peace and solace in knowing that this was an accident and there are things beyond our control. Talk to someone if you need to get it out...find a support group or counselor if you need to. Don't keep things bottled up. There's no shame in seeking help brother. Best wishes to you.

I might have to consider a change in exhaust from my Vance & Hines 3" slash cuts. On the exhaust level scale (thread) they're rated around a 6 or 7 on the scale to 10 but maybe I'm getting old it's becoming too loud for my liking. Especially leaving for work at 630am
If you don't have them already, V&H do offer quiet baffles for that exhaust...might save you some $$ to just add those instead of changing it up entirely.

Already added last year - I didn't do a sound test (nor do I have the equipment to do it properly) but based off riding to me it doesn't sound like they did absolutely anything to even drop a half a decibel.

With the 'Quiet Baffles' you get a mere professed 5-6% reduction only which is hardly discernible, you may as well save your money and not bother. Apparently Vance and Hines do make 'Super Quiet' baffles now which do make a difference for about $70 a set for some zorsts.

This is where my heads at as far as the exhaust - I think it's just a me thing. I think coupled between "not trying to pi$$ off the neighbors" and "do I WANT to listen to this at 80 mph for hours on end" - a big part of it I think is that I'm getting closer to wanting more of a bigger long distance oriented bike that has the 'comforts' along with it. Rather than swapping the exhaust maybe I'm just due for a chieftain dark horse:D
