Great solution, looks like it was meant to be there.Am currently On Call at the hospital where I work so can't go anywhere. Time to get the little things out of the way. My suspension is setup ideally for my style of riding, weight etc, nevertheless with my exhaust configuration when hitting a pothole the size of a bomb crater, the fender just touches the exhaust on the odd rare occasion. I certainly didn't want to wind the suspension any tighter and was searching for an aesthetic solution. I didn't like the fish-bone style tank protectors on offer just about everywhere. Was at a Triumph dealership and a Triumph Tiger tank pad caught my eye. Naturally the molded Triumph logo had to go so ground the pin off an Indian badge and stuck it on to cover it. Due to direction of travel of the swing arm the badge will not come into contact. Personally I am happy with the end result which is the most important thing.

What did you do to your scout today?
finally got around to making a seat lanyard, ended up that when the seat is hanging it makes a good place to lay your tools while working with battery or making connections. also made these bungee spools for about 10 bucks.

I installed these Freedom Performance slip ones, Dennis Kirk had them on sale for $199 free shipping. They are quite loud lol. They fit very well, and seem to be a good product. We’ll see about longevity…

Today I found my bike not starting anymore. My battery seems to be broken. A few weeks ago, the motor hardly started, then I observed the voltagemeter in the display and it dropped voltage below 10V while turning the starter. The battery was all the time at the battery charger and today the Motor can't be started anymore. Voltagemeter drops very fast, all lights off and bike is dead, when hitting the starter.
I can start the bike with jumper cables and another battery. When the motor is running the battery is charging and voltagemeter shows 14,1 - 14,3V.
Bike is from 2021, about 4000km and nearly all the time connected to a battery tender.
And by the way my new Pathfinder adaptive Headlight is fogging up in the lower section.
So, what is going on with the quality of Indian Motorcycles?!
My Honda from 2013 still have the first battery and no problems and beside this no problem at all so far.
Next week the bike get inspection at the dealer. From my understanding, this should be covered by warranty.

Well, yesterday I changed the oil, and it took 3.5 quarts to fill it up. Got the oil at American Powersports in Findlay for $13.99 a quart! Then, I installed a different horn, one I have had laying around the garage for a few years, and it’s a great improvement over the stock ‘wimp’ horn that came with the Scout. It is easily twice as loud. Last week, I installed the Viking bags, and had to shim the left bag out 3/8” with some aluminum flat stock to clear the belt guard, and I also bought an LED headlight, and installed it too. The high beam really reaches out there, and works well… $40 shipped, and I bought a 2 year warranty from Square Trade for $5.99.
For electrical, I hooked up an 8 circuit blade fuse holder off of a 60 amp relay I had laying around, and put a single 5 amp blade fuse for the scroll plate I put on for the license plate holder. I also made up a double pigtail for the headlight shell driving light, and hooked up the Zumo 396 LMT-S mount on a Ram ball mount. This works great!
I probably forgot about something else,but here are some photos to go… oh yeah, the Memphis Shades Fats windshield and hardware to mount it!

Thanks, you have a keen eye. I’m all about the subtle touches, and as far as the red goes, I feel every gray and black color scheme needs a little pop of red. This was before adding the mid-frame decals.
After riding almost 18 months on the stock rear suspension I finally upgraded the rear to a set of Legends Revo-A shocks. I simply cannot stress enough how massive the difference in both comfort and control is with this upgrade. Wednesday morning was the first ride ever on my Bobber without at least one "ouch" moment where my spine was hammered going over a bump.
While I'm confident that the Legends product is exceptionally good, the main take away here is what utter garbage the stock shocks are. If you're on a Scout and haven't invested in a new set of shocks do yourself a favor and prioritize a new set of shocks be it Legend, Progressive, Ohlins, or whatever else floats your boat.
