Covering the licence plate with the battery pack will certainly keep the cops at bay but riding one handed holding the rig like that may be a little awkward!

Haha. I rarely ride at night, so the plan is to velcro the whole thing to the rear of the plate mount out of sight as needed.

Very nice . I couldn't figure out how they would work on the bobber because they use 2 pin points so I made my own

Normally they don't, I happen to score an adapter kit made by Klockwerks that allows them to be used. I hope Klockwerks starts making these kits again because if I got another Scout, I'd probably do the same thing. It is about the most expensive option out there for floorboards however because the floorboards themselves have to be bought separately.

Just thinking --- without both supports on such a long floorboard, do you have any worries of torquing it if you put too much weight on the back 1/3 of the board --- say if you put your full weight on them lifting yourself up for an extra large bump?
That's my only wonderment.
I'd love to hear how you do for cornering clearance. Probably wouldn't make it better. As it is, I have to ride with my heels up on top of the pegs. I've worn a 45° angle on them from scraping --- and that's with modified suspension.

You have a great question with the mounting. I don't think it would be an issue as the mounting surface is large and is supported by three bolts. The entire floorboard is supported from underneath. Check out the pic. Unless you weigh 300lb or more I don't think I's worry about it.
I'm not a geometry genius but I think the lean angle won't change much as the floorboards seem to sit higher than the native pegs.

Fixed a problem I created. Putting on some crash bars I stripped the first few female threads of one of the two bolts. I used a thread chaser to straighten out the threads and repair my mess. All good now.

Got this Saddlemen R1300LXE Tactical Deluxe rigid bag for an 2 day trip come spring. Rok straps look like they are going to work quite well. Much better than bungee cords. But without the saddlebag spools it would be a ***** to make the bag properly secure

u could maybe get a better use of those straps on the rack if u turned the bag 90*. but the way u have just looks right.
