I installed K-Tech Razor Lite III rear shocks this morning on my '21 Bobber ABS and OH. MY. GOD.

The bike is INFINITELY more enjoyable now. No puckered butthole when I see a bump coming, incredible comfort, and the turn handling is vastly improved. I can't wait to do some more riding this weekend. For reference in case people are interested:

  • Bought from Orient Express, Ken was extremely helpful answering questions to make sure I got the right ones and installed correctly
  • Got the Bobber specific pair (283B-140-285-BOB)
  • Orient Express preloaded the weight for me (260lbs)
  • Best comfort so far was 13 clicks from the 0 point on the dampening
  • I had to use the factory washer for the top left bolt, but not the top right bolt. Make sure you use the included bolt for the bottom right bolt.
  • Torqued to ~65 ftlbs.
  • I had to remove my top V&H Slash Cut slip on to install the right shock

I'm almost sorry I ordered a Mustang seat (coming in today), as this made such a huge improvement. But I'm sure I'll love that too! Can't wait to get some pics up later.
I'm sorry, Steve, but I'm gonna need some pictures.
;)

That's great.
I went to Arlen Ness shocks which are also adjustable in LENGTH so I could change the height (and have more cornering clearance).

I am not familiar with the ones you got..... And "orient express" sounds.... Like "Alibaba" to me, but clearly must not be.

I have the Mustang seat. It's decent, but , honestly, could be better. Wish I could try a Corbin.

Thanks for the post!

A simple thanks from them would be nice. In this day and age, it wouldn't surprise me. I guess you can take a bike and paint Jack Daniels on it and everybody loves you but if you try to do something to pay tribute to something you love, that's a problem. I'm not a lawyer, just a fan. Maybe I'll rethink that and just keep it among us riders and fans. :)
You won’t have a problem unless you try to sell them. Making something for yourself with the Indian logo is not a problem. Go for it!

Here you go man! Scout Bobber Photo Thread

I’ll be honest, I’ve still only scraped my peg feelers once. I’m still getting the hang of how much lean I can do on it.

Is it just me.....Or did you add longer shocks?
Looks like you gained suspension travel over stock.

Or maybe you just have the preload correctly adjusted.

I agree. I just picked the LED light up last month for my Bobber 60, when Indian was running the special of getting $25 off when spending $250. Unfortunately, she is in hibernation for the winter so I won't get to install it until spring.

Installed the Indian Pathfinder LED headlight today. IMO the bobbers should come with this light from the factory to compliment the blacked out look. View attachment 668127

Been testing a different idea.... want to relocate my license plate to a shock mount, but can't stand the wiring messily draped across the swing arm. Been running the light so far for 17 hours on this battery pack and still going strong.

I rarely ride at night, so only using a battery when needed is perfect for me to keep the cops at bay.
