Wheel Tire Fuel tank Automotive fuel system Vehicle

My updates are not just for today but today I added copies of Indian Floorboards. These exceed any of my expectations and are the first time I’ve ever had boards on a bike. They make the riding position perfect for the 1920 seat and enable me to move on the bike very easily, getting even better lean angle.
Most of the mods have been to enhance the retro look of my Scout. Chrome headlight bucket. Chrome tail rack. Chrome brake and shift levers (actually the shift lever needed replacement when the shoulder bolt backed out and the original was dragged under the bike for 100 yards).
Stage 1 exhaust and intake. Dart Marlin Flyscreen in Clear. Indian Beach Bars. PSR chrome adjustable clutch and brake levers. Pinnacle Mirrors. USB outlet addition. Removal of passenger pegs. Beeline Navigator. MCCruise cruise control mounted under fuel tank. Eagle Lights LED headlamp. Vizible Technologies SupaBrake modulator, Indian Saddlebags (Tan) not shown. Indian Scout Logo grips coming next week.

I‘m really happy with this motorbike and with my wife who saw a picture of one 2 years ago and told me to go try one out. I never had a cruiser and probably never will but I LOVE MY SCOUT.

Nice seat! Where did you get it?
It's a v twin. I got it here in the classifieds. Great buy to try one out first before I drop the big bucks. It has it's flaw's but definitely workable. The seat has virtually no padding and the wrong color (to dark) but I ordered a jell pad off Amazon and bought some buckskin locally. The color will match everything else and I'm thinking fringe's. We'll see how that goes. If I like it, it'll show up here in one form or another.

As "cool" as they are, do you consider the reduction in visibility?

I was at a gathering of bikes and there was a Scout with these. When the group of bikes left and stopped at the stop light, the Scout with these little lights really stood out among a sea of bright, noticeable tail lights.

I have always loved slimmed down lighting, but with nothing else back there to notify a car or truck you have hit the brakes.... Visibility seems paramount.

Thoughts?

I will agree that there are some safety concerns here. Once I get fronts installed I'll do a comparison walk around night vs day

These look great!! Fitment looks like they came from the factory.

I found adding bar-end front signals increased visibility from the rear for my Rage rear signals as the front signals also have rear facing LEDs.

Those are excellent and look great. I think manufacturers should consider making them a stock feature.

Most accidents are a result of a car not seeing us. Obviously we all drive on "high alert" --- adding bright visual cues can add another margin of safety.

I'm not a fear-monger and a safety nut. Having my wife out there riding has changed my attitude a bit. I cannot risk her safety. We love our bikes and want them to look good and be as visible to traffic as possible.

I successfully wired a garage door opener into my horn! This solution is super reversible, pretty simple, and uses the bikes power instead of a remote battery!

I've still gotta weatherproof it, but once complete I'll be piecing together a diy video! Basically a keychain garage for remote wired to a 12v to 3v power converter so your horn button uses the bike's power to trigger the garage door.

I can't wait to see the video. I don't think I've ever used the horn and I hate having to jump off the bike just to open the garage (first world problems).
