Anyone with a Dean Speed Scout Classic Sissy Bar have a saddle bag support combo going on? The sissy bar is pretty thick so I can foresee combability issues or the saddle bags sticking far out. I've ran some cheap saddle bags without supports but the rear tire munches them without them on any lean.

Anyone got any recommendations for aftermarket bars for splitting lanes? The scout's OEM bars are just a bit too wide to split lanes in certain scenarios. I really like the idea of some mini apes I've seen on other scouts, but the ones I've seen are still too wide.

If anyone is curious...

This is the 24" classic sissy bar from deanspeed, 6 pack rack and passenger pad. I've never had any complaints from passengers, and personally couldn't imagine getting anything smaller if you have luggage in mind. I sat on it myself just now, and at 5'9" the pad is at the center of my back with the stock seat. My only complaint is that the bars are thick, making it incompatible with some saddle bag supports I've tried out. Deanspeed recommended I purchase the slim version for compatibility, but I'm not going to wait 3 months again haha.

What tires are you coming from? I've trusted metzlers before on all sorts of weather and road, but only on my sport bikes. My stock nightdragons on my scout still have tread, but I was thinking going the white wall route when I do have to change them.

Out of curiosity, has anyone installed or is considering installing a quick shifter on their scout? Dynojet's is roughly $300, but I was curious to see if anyone has installed it on their scout and what they think of it.

Do you guys think these handlebars would fit the scout? I used to own a Honda Magna with buckhorns and it was a really comfortable. I'm particularly looking for bars that would make scout slimmer to lane split easier with, and I figured buckhorns would do it.

The "wide" version has shorter dimensions according to the description, but I can't really tell any major differences from the pictures.
