Played around with the new headlight, wanted to mount it above the horn like I've seen some of the vintage scouts... Not sure I'm sold on it though.

I think that placement looks perfect with those bars. Either the horn or another creative measure (e.g. an Indian badged plate) should probably go on to clean up the space underneath, but I’m sure you have a plan for that already.

If you do go with it there, I’m curious how much it impacts the airflow and reduces the need for a deflector at speed.

I agree those emblems look fantastic.
Search forum and eBay for “Zambini” Bros.
Seems to be quite an interesting history on this particular product, maybe beyond the great looks that helps to justify the price. Still seem to be available on eBay though... maybe this link will get you there:

Earlier this week I went on a one day 590 mile ride on my Scout which is my longest one day trip yet. I also took her through 2 thunderstorms without issue; it was raining so hard during one storm that the water was flowing across the highway in one town and I couldn’t even see the asphalt. Finally, I made it 142 miles between available services and still had over half a galllon in the tank to spare. There’s nothing my girl can’t do 😎
