No pics of work but funny moment (or idiot moment, one of many):

Stable is cold and needed to pull battery and bring it inside. Also prepping for KST +6 that I ordered. Pulled headlight to get to plug for bar wires. 2019 so you "can" get to the plug from removing the headlight. Got main plug disconnected but it is zip tied somewhere I cannot see or get to. Sigh.

So I start pulling the outer fairing off. I remember you have to take the windshield off. Button not working. Idiot put the battery back in .
Put battery back in and power her up. Try windshield, and nothing. Try starting and nothing. Have error on dash. Start panicking (thinking I fried something).
Start searching the error message and going over what I could have done in my head.
The plug.
You idiot the plug.
Plug bar wires back in, raise windshield, remove battery.

The handlebar job will be a little time consuming but the KST video of the road master, which is similar to the chieftain process, looks "fairly" easy (famous last words).

Bought bike with stage 3 kit. Added dynojet, Tune from Craig here on the site (what a difference). The dealership, I am not sure if they actually did anything at all as far as tune. Bike sucked for a 116 with a cam prior to the tune I got from this great community. Have extended, extended, custom kickstand (I am so short), Arnott air ride (get low baby), then just some cosmetic changes like the sissy bar.

Oh one custom piece is using degreaser on all the painted metal parts. If anyone wants to know how to ruin their gloss or flat black pipes and other assorted parts, just send me a message. I can get you all squared up. In all fairness the degreaser and soap are the same color in similar bottles. Idiot.
Couple of pics from this weekend. 1 tip (not that I am anyone to give tips out lol) is to leave the battery in the bike, so you can raise and lower the windshield bracket. Lowering would have helped remove the screws that were under the windshield.

Heated grip non throttle side was glued on. What a PIA. Got it off finally with channel locks and hand strength. Hopefully did not damage them. Might get new ones but not really in my budget. Just waiting for the KST's to ship. Only thing left is to remove the 2 screws for the bar.

May I ask what throttle assist you have there? I bought one but it doesn't really fit correctly.
Its similar to the "throttle boss" but I cannot really tell you as it was hanging in a shop I brought my victory vegas tires to for mounting and balancing. IT works decent enough. It is just a palm hand rest, nothing else.

I will see if there is a name on it. Kind of looks like one in the picture. It was pretty cheap, like 12 or 13 dollars or something like that.

Would love to see pics if your “extended extended custom kickstand.” My wife has a 2022 Chieftain as well, in which we had the Arnott System put on, as well as Indians extended reach kickstand - though it’s entertaining to watch the many ways she’s invented to get the kick up - it would be good to have a functional kickstand.
The struggle is real for us vertically challenge chieftain riders.:ROFLMAO:. I'm barely catching the kick stand with the tip of my riding boots. 😂

Looks nice. What are those two buttons next to the left handlebar controls?
Those 2 buttons on the left side of the handle bars control the air shock. Raise and lower. The only thing I would add would be a pressure gauge. It would be nice to set the ride height based pressure rather than feel. The Arnott option is expensive, but you have to be able to add an aftermarket I would assume.

Installed my TS straight exhaust slip ons with the 6 shooter tips and fired it up.
Definitely louder now so that’s a plus.

The stage II cams don’t have that loopy idle I was hoping for but perhaps I was expecting a little too much.

Once my straight slip on chrome tips arrive in the next few days - I’ll throw those on.

I see you are in the frigid north, did you let her warm up? My stage2 cams have a nice loopy sound.

Well I was in the garage, had the overhead door open a bit.
I let it warm up and it held an idle speed of 950-1000rpm’s. Currently on the PV3 tune.

Without having an audio and or video to compare it to, I am not sure what to expect. It still runs pretty smooth. The engine does not move/shake at all. But I’m guessing the engine mounts are fairly stiff.

Am I missing something here?
Is the idle speed to high?

I'm not 100% sure but I think my bike when warm it idles between 800 & 850.
