So I was being lazy and trying to get out of riding my Springfield to Annapolis for the first service. I called the Indian dealer in Seaford Delaware that is only 20 minutes from my house to check to see when they could do it and the cost. I never got past the cost as the service manager told me anywhere between $300 and $500. I mean really! It should be a flat fee unless there is a non-warranty issue they find. If they want $500 just say so. Don't try to pull me in and screw me over after my bike is in their hands. It's safe to say these guys won't be around long. I was quoted $290 at the other dealer. Which is bad enough, but I'll bite the bullet on the first service.

When you ask for a quote on something they have done multiple times. They should give you a solid quote. I do it all the time in my electric business. I'm surprised these idiots in Seaford didn't ask to see my bank account so they knew what to charge.

Did you ask them why it could vary between 300-500? They might have explained themselves if you had asked.
My response to them was. So you don't have a set price on the 500 mile service. To which I got no reply. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't agree to a floating price quote. Therefor in my mind they are morons. Both sales and service.

Didn't this Seaford, Delaware stealership just open a few months ago??
Yes they did. The same owners have one in Wilmington Delaware that’s been open for a couple of years. I’ve never been there and based on the way the Seaford one operates. There is no need to. Just a little history on their sales. I tried to buy a Springfield from them in the spring but it wasn't meant to be. $2000 more for a used 2021 then a 2022 list for. Plus they wanted to charge shipping on the used bike. WTF is that all about?

I rode my Springfield to Annapolis yesterday for my 500 mile service. It was about 54 degrees riding across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The wind guest and 2 way traffic on the bridge was the worst part. My cost was $283.00 . About $10 less then I was quoted.
