So do I understand this right? Instead of the Friday practice/Saturday race day schedule, they will have back to back races on Friday and Saturday in some locations?

It looks like they are running back to back weekends all year, once it gets started of course... While there are a lot of TBDs on there, it's a little disappointing that Springfield may be the only mile on the circuit this year. Part of that is personal disappointment since I was going to Oklahoma this year, but also just for the loss of those exciting races. Was at Lima last year, and that was an entertaining race, however most of the half-miles and short-tracks tend to have a breakaway rider and everyone else is playing catch-up in a pack.

Regardless, I'll still watch as many of the races as I can.

It looks like the plan is to shut down the riders area. I get it, but it's disappointing. One of my favorite parts of the races is the access to the teams.

looks like they are leaving Buffalo Chip TT and the Black Hills 1/2 mile out of it this year...
I imagine it's because there hasn't been a definitive answer as to whether the rally will happen. The Sturgis rally homepage is still showing that the decision is under consideration as of May 4th.

looks like they are in the cost saving mode for the competitors... TX is as far west as they are going.. the rest are basically out east....

I believe that the Jackpine Gypsies will be making a definitive decision on the Sturgis rally by June 15th. AFT needed a set schedule before that and couldn't wait.

Losing a bunch of the mile and TT races kind of sucks.
