I think the video is mislabled as it's a fairly informal overview with and Indian rep. It's a pretty down to earth 'non-markety' feeling overview...

(I'm wondering if they'll replace/move it with an actual first ride video)

Listen closely at the 1:27 mark. Are the new Indians including the same starter as the Victorys?

I was in the same group with the old bearded guy, and can be seen in the background of that video. I posted my own video's of the ride on youtube with some simple comments. I've read some of the comments here on the VOG and would like to say that you can't compare the Chieftain to the Vision. It's more comparable to the Cross Country. That being said, this new motor is smoother, more powerful, and shifts cleaner than the 106. It's a slightly smaller bike than the Cross, but quite comfortable. They did a great job with this new machine! I was very sceptical at first, but kept the idea that if they could pull off the build quality of the Victory, while maintaining the heritage, they'll have a winner. Well..... They did it! I won't be getting rid of my Victory, but I may be adding an Indian Chief to the herd. Here are the links to my videos. The first three are the Chief Vintage, the last three are the Chieftain, the last is a basic walk around of the two bikes.

IMHO, he starter does appear to have that distinctive Victory sound.

Sorry about the last post, I'm new here. I meant to post that in the other thread, though I suppose it's still relevant.

Interestingly, I commented to some of the Indian Reps at the unveiling that 'I'm seeing a lot of Victory here'. They actually seemed to get upset, saying that there isn't a single interchangeable part. I had to explain to this guy that what I meant was that they are obviously cut from the same cloth. They seem to really want to separate themselves from Victory, I think they should hold their heads up and be proud of the Victory line. I rode my Cross from Seattle to Sturgis in two days, spent two days there, then rode home in two days in relative comfort.

I have only read that the indian was air cooled, could have miss read, but at the 1:04 mark an oil cooler is clear. Also, at the 1:36 mark, is that a fork lock?

Sure looks like one. Here's a picture I took at Sturgis, if you zoom in, you can see the same thing as 1:36. Didn't notice it when I was there.
