View attachment 144369 Here's a photo of my rack I just made. I just posted a video in the video section showing me putting the trunk on. I'm pretty happy how it turned out.
Could you please tell me what size conduit you used? 3/4 or 1" EMT ? Or is it something else ?View attachment 28363 made this bracket for the Roadmaster trunk when not in use. I have about 6 dollars in materials. Had the wood, bought the pipe.
That looks pretty neat.Thank you Poleclimber. I checked out your trunk holder and decided it is a great idea. I often like to ride without the trunk but could never figure out what to do with it so it did not get damaged. I used your photo and modified a few things using the materials I could find. Yours looks better but mine works good. As with all my projects I overbuilt it. See photos below and list of materials.
Materials:
2 - 1x6 boards 24 inches long
2 - 2x4's 24 inches long
4 - metal angle brackets ( just to help overbuild it)
2 - 1 inch OD black pipes 24 inches long
4 - black pipe caps to keep pipes retained in holder.
Oh yea and a few long deck screws to mount it to the wall and hold it together.
