During our ride on Sunday I noticed on a few occasions that I had to try more than once to get the bike to shift into 5th and 6th gear. No problems with any other of the gears, but those two gears.

I checked the Clutch cable and it doesn't appear loose or frayed. If anything it appears a bit tight, but I'm not absolutely sure how to measure this, though I'm trying to figure that out now.

I did recently have service done and the tech mentioned that he checked the clutch and found no issues. Didn't think anything of it at the time, but now that statement has me wondering now....

Any advice would be very helpful.

With about 90K miles on the original clutch, I'd change out that clutch pack and cable asap. Not a difficult job. My guess that'll take care of it.
