Good evening all. New owner of a 2025 112 PP w/ PB Darkhorse and I have been debating removing the tour pack for some solo riding with a slightly different look. I read somewhere that someone else did this and it threw a lot of error codes up. Is this a thing and if so, how do you resolve it?

Is giving up all that storage and taking on and off daily worth it to look cute?

I like to have my bikes ready to go, this allows day to day driving and short trips .

Especially with indians where I believe you have remove bags. But even with Harley quick detach I don't like screwing with it

I do wonder about weight. Indian trunk is tall, and with bar maybe heavy . So I could understand reducing weight . But to look cute? It is a giant freight train. Be realistic

It always gets my attention how huge the pursuit appear next to other bikes

Yes

No bag removal necessary

Either tour or remove trunk for a classic bagger look… that is realistic lol

I had a Roadmaster and took the trunk on/off numerous times. It will not throw codes. The biggest hurdle is the weight of the trunk with the mount & amp. A suggestion: open your saddlebag lids when removing/installing the trunk to prevent scratches. The first time removing the trunk have a helper. After getting the hang of it, you should be able to do it solo.

After removing and reinstalling the tourpack on my '17 RM, it now stays in storage. I bought a sissy bar and rack, then added some soft luggage. If I want the hard tourpack, it is a simple snap on. And, I find that the soft luggage offers both more versatility and space.

Tour packs are perfect height, easy open I try not to use saddle bags for regular stuff. Bags are mostly jackets, chaps ,hoodies, and tools. Which fills them up for just me. OL with same goes in your pack.

I don't have all my tools in yet,and already full.
