You see that on many bikes, kinda confusing to see Torx here and allen there. Pretty sure there is some philosophy behind that. Just haven't figured that out....

If I was to guess, I would think it has to do with the *stealability* of the part.

I have Allen wrenches all over the place but I only have a socket set of Torx and an all in one handset (that is practically useless since the hand portion is plastic").

Anyway having to get a Torx bolt loose is more trouble for a thief.

I have a set of ski racks for my Saab and they have Torx head bolts for just this reason.
