Hello Midwestern Indian Motorcycle Riders,

We at Indian Motorcycle of Toledo want to express our deepest appreciation for your business and support of the Indian Motorcycle Brand! Some of you have expressed an interest in participating and/or organizing a Toledo Chapter of the Indian Motorcycle Riders Group. We wanted to take an opportunity to reach out to our new Indian Motorcycle owners to investigate your interest level in forming a local Riders group.

We realize that different people enjoy diverse types of club participation. Some people like to organize and administrate events and gatherings while others are content to participate only on a spectator type level. The Indian Motorcycle Riders Group is run primarily by its officers and participants rather than the sponsoring dealership. The primary officers are: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Marketing Director, while other positions may include Activities Director, Road Officer, Safety Director, Photographer, Membership Director, Editor and Web Director with each position requiring a unique level of responsibility and participation.

Local chapters must hold regular monthly meetings and at least eight events or activities throughout the year which can range from group rides, lunches/dinners, coffee/donut gatherings, hosting seminars, fund raisers etc. The sky is the limit with events and activities.

An inaugural honorary membership in the national club is free for one year for those who purchase a new Indian Motorcycle and subsequent yearly renewal memberships start at about $45.00 per year for Indian Motorcycle owners and starting at $55.00 per year for non-Indian Motorcycle owners. Dues for the local chapter, if formed, are not to exceed $25.00. You must be a member of the National club to be a member of the local chapter.

We look forward to hearing from you! When responding, please indicate your interest level of participation, whether it be a casual or involved one so we can get some overall idea of a groupinterest level.

Thanks again for your continued support!

A year has passed since Joel posted that.
Toledo Area IMRG Chapter 1961 is up and running. We have currently 4 people willing to be officers, with several filling two positions. There is a total of 15 members right now and a lot of interest is still building in our Rider Group.
We meet the first Saturday of the month at Indian of Toledo at 10 a.m. unless it falls on a holiday weekend, and then the meeting is on the first Saturday after the holiday. We are planning dinner rides breakfast rides and both short local rides and longer overnight rides and in between distances too. Come join us for all the fun!

Tom Hufford
President IMRG chapter 1961
