+1 for the blow dryer method.

Pro tip: My favorite trick to remove the remaining adhesive is to use that sticker you just pulled off. Think about it, nothing removes adhesive better than the same damn adhesive. Just press it back down with a thumb and pull it back up (several times). The fresher the sticker, the better it works. Destroyed the sticker in the process? Try duck tape.

Then you don't have to mess around with other chemicals that might damage the paint.

Blow dryer to remove. Goo gone to get the glue off. Be careful not to use a scratchy paper towel or it'll leave marks in the paint. Microfiber only.

I should have just left the damn thing on the tank.
Probably worth more in twenty years from now.
You can buy that tank sticker at any Rally for cheap and also you can buy a dot sticker for the illegal helmets that go on the back side lower of the helmet. Helmet vendors sell them under the table FYI.
