I'm a newbie to Indian and the FTR. It's amazing and I can't leave well enough alone. So, I bought the Akra titanium header, tossed the cat, passenger pegs and the corresponding 20 lbs. But, alas that requires a re-mapping of the ECU. I asked a lot of questions and got some good advice from MaxKool on this forum. I ended up going to Ritchie and Ryan at Indian of Charlotte. They sent me a Dynajet PV3 with their custom map. The tuner itself is $400 and their map is another $100. I've never touched a tuner or ECU, the instructions aren't real clear, etc. but despite all that it was done in <30 mins. It is amazing -- and I got one other good piece of advice: If you're doing headers and taking off the cats, wait before you remove the baffles (db reducers). It's pretty healthy with the factory slip-ons -- you can always take the baffles out later. Hope it helps.
