This tread has been great.
I've ordered the TCMT saddlebags, Osprey spools, I have the OEM bezels and a new 2 button key fob in the shopping cart. What else am I going to need to get the fob working and the console buttons working to lock and unlock the bags?
Thanks.

The fob will only work to lock the bags not to unlock.
make certain to get the lock/unlock switch for the console and you’ll be good to go

I just looked at the link and will not post to Australia. After looking at it, I'm guessing any 12v outlet would fit there? I mean an outlet with usb ports instead of cigarette outlet?

With a little dremel work you can grind out the OEM hole to take a standard size 12v outlet.
I chose to go twin USB Narva socket. Picture to follow.

I've noticed that the normal hard bags are getting really hard to find, they seem to be replaced with a set that has an audio cut out in the lid. I'm assuming they hit some kind of legal challenge and this is their workaround, so the normal bags will be unavailable once they are sold out.

Supposing this is the case, does anyone know of a speaker set that would work with these bags? The specs say the opening is 6.3 in.

I've never had bags before so forgive me for asking goofy questions. I have a 2016 Dark Horse and I"m setting up the ebay tcmt hard bags with osprey spools. I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly.

I bought the 27.5 Osprey Chief Spools so I can use the Indian sissy bar.

I switched out the inside bolts for M6-1.0 X 30mm bolts and have stainless steel washers on the feet. I screwed in the osprey spools to the bike and then screwed in the bolt from the inside of the bags to the spools.

Is that the correct setup? Would you all recommend lock tight on the bolts? There isn't any tabs on the bags to rest on the spools so the only thing keeping them in place is the bolt running to the spool from inside the bag.

I apologize for this if it seems obvious but I just want to make sure I don't lose a bag going down the road.
How long is the bolt you used to screw into the spool?
