Who here has the Indian Stage 1 exhaust AND rides with a passenger they actually want to talk to?
Something my Wife loves about the bike is that we can actually talk via comms and hear each other.
Will stage 1 exhaust from Indian ruin that? How about after market?
thanks.
Based upon my experience with Stage One Fishtail mufflers I had on my Chieftain they're about perfect for hearing your engine run and still be able to hear your passenger or radio. Being as the same Stage one slip-ons are used on the Challenger I would say you should be good to go with them.
We have that exact setup...Challenger with Indian stage one slip ons. I don't feel it's actually that much louder than stock. We can talk with each other just fine.
My girlfriend rides on the back and we can talk ok. I have to raise my voice a little bit. We wear half helmets and I usually have the radio going too but my setup is stage 1 air cleaner, RCX pipes and cat delete pipe.
I have the Stage one pipes and air cleaner, and Stage two cams on my Roadmaster... Nice rumble, and not loud unless you're really in the throttle. My Wife and I can hear each other ok, at least I think that's what she said... lol.
Edit: I didn't notice this was the Challenger thread... my bad.
Some folks on here keep confusing the Challenger's Powerplus engine with the Thunderstroke. There are no Stage Two Cams or Stage Three Big Bore Kit for the Powerplus 108.
Ignore him, he can't help but post that kind of stuff.
The problem becomes that people become misinformed because they think that the PP108 has more performance upgrades than it actually has. I think the biggest need is something to remove the limiter and richen up the mix a little.

I know it's a different engine, but I've run sena comms with the wife on both my scout and my roadmaster. I've had stock, v&h turndowns and currently stage 1.
Haven't had a problem hearing each other at all. Except a little bit with the dean speed rampage on the scout. Those suckers were loud.
