Oil change, replace spark plugs and air filter every other spring, give the bike a good inspection paying special attention to tires, drive belt, clutch cable and all other moving parts.

I have never worried about the gas, there are additives you can put in the gas to keep it fresh but I’ve never used them. Someone else may chime in with more info

Always use stabil when storing for more than 30 days just to ensure it will not gunk anything up. It is only like 1 oz for 5 gallons of gas. I use the stabil 360 and it has worked well. Use it in all my small engines.

One time I worked on a neighbors lawn mower that had never used stabil. Fault was it would not start. Took the carb off and found out that the jets were clogged and the red gunk that you get when fuel sits too long was all in the carb. Cleaned it all up put it back together and it ran well.

Straight out of the Indian Riders manual:

FUEL STABILIZER
Add fresh fuel to fill the fuel tank and add fuel stabilizer. Do not
overfill.
Ride the motorcycle or start and run the engine for 15 minutes in a
well ventilated area to distribute the stabilizer throughout the fuel
system.
