I don't know what's happening with them but beware if you're considering ordering anything. I placed an order a month ago, the money was taken from my account the same day, never got a shipping notification email, never got the order. I called and was put on hold for 15 minutes then disconnected, called back the next day, same thing. Sent an email and got no response at all. I have been buying from J&P Cycles for years and never had an issue so something has to be going very bad with them. Buyer beware!

I had the exact same experience.... Ordered a large item, they shipped it wrong and it went back to them.... Called their help line twice, each time on hold for over 30 minutes and no one every picked up.... No response to e-mails.... Finally got smart and called in on a purchase line--they picked up immediately.... Demanded a supervisor, she said she would make everything right, ended up talking with her twice.... Nothing.... Had to use the PayPal complaint system to get my money back.... Will never buy from them again.... Ask me how I really feel !!!!

J&P was recently bought by MAG retail group, and they were having some "transition issues". Product was late getting shipped, vendors were not being paid in a timely fashion, They are smoothing things out, but it seems like they are not there quite yet in some areas.

I gave up on them when John Parham turned everything over to his son several years ago. They use to be great. I recommend Revilla--great video reviews and super easy returns.

I bought a lot of stuff from them when they bought out Gilroys inventory, nothing lately. Sorry to hear of the issues.

32 days after I placed my order and 14 days since I tried talking to them on the phone twice and also emailed them to cancel the order, Saturday I received an email saying my order has shipped. Now let's see if it ever actually shows up.

Looks like they bought Motorcycle Superstore also. That used to be a good place to shop.
I hate to hear that. I occasionally buy from Motorcycle Superstore and always have had good experiences with them,

I had a very similar experience with J&P. After several years and probably more than $1,000 in purchases, I finally got to see what it's like when they're not on their game.

A couple months ago I ordered a front fender (for the bike I just traded for my Springfield). After three weeks and four phone calls where I was told each day that it would ship that day (because I paid extra for expedited shipping), it was still marked as "in processing". I made my fifth and hoped to be final call to cancel the order so I could just shop somewhere else for the fender that might ship it with a little more haste. They told me it was canceled and that I'd see the confirmation email shortly. It didn't come so I called the next day and was assured the same.

An hour after that call the status of the order changed not from "in processing" to "canceled", but to "shipped". I called back and was assured again that it was canceled and I'll be getting my refund. That was a Friday.

The following Monday, I get an email from UPS with tracking info and a delivery date only a couple days out. I call J&P again, now the 8th call, and tell them they'd better call UPS and have the fender returned to sender before it reaches my house. At this point, it's a matter of principle.

The order is turned around but it took another week before I had to make another round of 3 phone calls before I'm told that the finance folks are 'busy' and that my refund will be processed, "When they get around to it." Verbatim what I was told. Well that prompted an end of conversation with anyone other than a manager because that's just flat-out unacceptable.

The manager treated the situation the way all the reps I spoke with should have, and my refund was processed immediately. Big thanks to that manager, but way too little, way too late.

Like I said, I've done a lot of business with J&P before but this may be a turn in their business culture and I think a buyer beware may be appropriate if this is happening to others as well.

Revzilla, for me. Only had to return an item once, and no problem. Super quick shipping, and good product videos. If you use PayPal make sure you make your claim in 30 days of purchase. If a vendor is dragging their feet on late deliveries, make the claim, you can undo it later. This usually gets the vendors attention.

I got a package from J&P finally today, 36 days after I placed the order and more than 2 weeks since I requested the order be canceled, which somehow did not happen. Anyway, only got 1/2 of the order and no explanation. I called and after 20 minutes on hold I was told the other 1/2 is in the warehouse and there is no ship date available. I am forever done with them.

We rode to J&P's open house in Anamosa several years ago.Free, food included.

We always visit the Daytona store during bike week.Nice to touch and feel rather than looking at a picture in a catalog.I got a very nice helmet last year .They had a great selection, I tried on at least six before I found one that fit.

Never had a problem but its been a while since I ordered from the catalog.

Sorry to hear about all the unacceptable business practices.

Got a new email from them today saying the rest of my order is out of stock and there is no restock date available. My items were in stock when ordered 6 weeks ago. I wish they would have cancelled my order and refunded my money 4 weeks ago when I requested it. Total asswipes.

Reminds me of a saying, When we do right no one remember's, when we do wrong no one forget's. Just used the $30 coupon they sent me for a tubeless tire repair kit, BUT I hear ya on the wait, had same issue with them a lil while back, took awhile to get my order also. like a week longer than said, but got it, so figured I would use the coupon before it expired, already have a kit, but wanted to update to the rubber plug type, got the string type now, so no problem if have to wait a little.
