Putting new tires on my 15 Chieftain. I've read removing the top pin and dropping the swing arm is the way to go. What size bolt fits in the threaded hole on the left side of the top shock pin. I've searched but came up with nothing.

I just changed my belt on my Chieftain dark horse, and had to remove the swing arm. If you remove one of the lower cover bolts, it is the correct size to thread into the pin. Remove the snap ring, and it will pull right out.
I would wipe down the area around the pivot, so grime doesn't get into the needle bearings before you pull it out. Best of luck, Chris.
