I've had Mustang seats on most all my bikes and for the most part they're pretty comfortable. I've never had a Corbin and was wondering if anyone has had one or both and had an opinion on which they preferred and why.

I could be wrong but I think Mustang = vinyl and Corbin = leather.

Mustangs are leather. Corbin gives you the option.

I'm intrested in comfort factor. Especially on a long ride, ie 10 hrs.
From the Mustang website

Cover Material
All covers are designed, cut and individually sewn at our New England facility. Covers are made of the highest quality expanded vinyl available. They have the appearance of black leather but the durability and resistance to the elements that exceed original equipment standards for motorcycle seats. All seams are sewn twice for strength. The bottom edge that holds the cover to the base plate is hemmed where the rivets hold the cover to the baseplate.

I ride on and sell Corbin seats. The Corbin leather is very good. You can get a customized look. I love them as well as many others. However, most Mustang seat owners love theirs also. My original Springfield seat was surprisingly good for factory. But since I sell Corbin I have to use it. I was surprised how much better the Corbin is compared to the factory. Better foam is the main difference. If Mustang doesn't offer leather, it comes down to material preference. Vinyl is better in the rain but I like the look and feel of real leather. I am willing to clean and preserve my leather once or twice a year. I grew up taking care of saddles for our horses. I have not talked to any one disappointed in either brand. Good luck.

I like the stock saddle on my Chieftain but on my previous bike ('06 HD Low Rider) I had a Corbin. I hated the Corbin for about 700 miles but then loved it. They are very hard saddles that take time to conform to the shape of your butt. I've never tried a Mustang saddle except to sit on one at a motorcycle show. It seemed pretty comfortable to me.
Good luck with your choice. Comfort is an individual thing. You won't know if you like your new saddle until it's too late to return it.

I'd pick Mustang over Corbin. And if anyone says they can FEEL the difference between leather and a good vinyl on their ass, well, someone has a real sensitive ass...........
Vinyl makes your ass sweat. Leather breathes and doesn't do that.

The real sensitive ass thing goes for the "snowflakes" that need a protective area they can call their own and a puppy. (I will not turn this into a political thing so I will not mention the Democrats).

I "butt tested" both Mustang and Ultimate and chose Ultimate. I wanted to be a bit closer to the bars and Ultimate sells a reduced reach seat. Both were comfortable and both good quality vinyl. The Mustang is a bit wider and I felt I had a little trouble getting my feet down flat, but I have a 30" inseam so that might not be an issue for some. I've put about 500 miles on the seat and the firmer foam is much more comfortable. Interestingly the Ultimate seat probably weighs twice as much as the Indian stock vinyl seat, which says something about the density of the foam and thickness of the vinyl.

The Chieftain will be the first bike I've had in years that won't get a Corbin. Instead, I sent it to Mean City and had the foam redone.

Corbin has a love hate relationship with riders. I, happen to like them a lot. That said, they're only 500 miles up the road and I take advantage of their ride in custom build program.

I've ridden with Mustangs and Corbins and put Corbins above. They main reason is that I ride to their factory and have the saddle custom cut for me. Tried that with Mustang and the saddle never gave me the same support and comfort. As for vinyl versus leather, one day in 100f+ heat will allow you to find the difference. On the Mustang saddle, through the desert, I left a puddle of sweat on the saddle as it didn't breathe at all. The leather Corbins allow that contact patch between your ass and the saddle to breathe. Even if you go with a Mustang or another saddle maker, check into leather. More upkeep, yes, but worth it. Also, my 99 Chief came with a Corbin saddle. That lasted 12 years and over 100,000 miles before the stitching in the center of the saddle started to come apart. A quick morning in their factory and they recovered and refoamed the entire saddle...for $50.

I had Corbin dual tour seats on both my 99 & 03 V92C Victory bikes, I really liked them on my 2015 Vintage I have a Mustang that I bought from a fellow forum member and I actually like it better than the 2 Corbin seats I had. I'm okay with vinyl upholstery and this Mustang is the most comfortable seat I've had on a bike.
