Seat advice

Good day to everyone! I need advice about seat. My original seat started to peel off. Ridiculous, but it is fact. Anyway seat wasn't comfortable for me, especially in long rides. So I decided to swap on Ultimate Seat, midride, with black stiches ( if possible ), studded. I've couple Q to riders who is familiar with this or other seat provider.

1. If I will buy only rider(solo) seat, could original passenger seat be attached?
2. Are they comfortable for 5'9" / 137lbs rider? Midride is OK or reduced reach is better?
3. Any other manufacturers which is better option quality and comfort wise?

My bike is 22 SF

I have a Corbin Solo seat and an Ultimate Mid Rider and am also 5'-9". You won't be able to use the Indian Passenger Pillion with either of these seats. They don't line up and don't have the mounting to receive the connecting tab that holds the Indian seat and pillion together.

Both seats put me up slightly higher to the point where I can't quite flat foot both sides they way I could with the Indian seat. They are also a little wider which probably contributes to that. The Corbin seat sits me back 1.5-2" compared to the stock seat which is actually a big difference. The Ultimate Mid Rider was closer to the stock position but still put me back slightly. This can become an issue if you have shorter arms and you end up having to lean forward to get comfortable. Recently I added Indian 16" Ape Hangers and with them rotated back toward me I can use either seat comfortably.

Quality and comfort on both the Ultimate and my Corbin are very good. Hope that helps.

Helped a lot! Means that I will order reduced reach Ultimate seat with pillion. Previously I thought about reduced reach bars, but seat will change the game.
Did anyone used OEM reduced reach seat? P/N 2879578-02

Look at Corbin saddles. I have bought 3 for 3 different bikes. You can customize the crap out of them and they are made for the long rides. They are not cheap but their quality is unmatched IMO. The Indian seats are made from bonded leather and PVC. Corbin's, you choose. I used top grain leather except for PVC on the sides to eliminate wear marks.

You made a good find there. I about paid the same for rider seat and backrest without the passenger pillion. Well done.

Same combo directly from Corbin will cost around 1500$. My previous good find was LED original passing lights + headlight just for 290$. All brand new.
Another quick seat question. I'm strongly considering this seat "Saddlemen CF Road Sofa Seat for 14-21 Indian Chief Chieftain Roadmaster"

I've also already ordered the trunk and required mounting hardware to make a removable "tour pack" for my chieftain, (yeah, that hurt), I'm sure someone else has gone this way. Did this seat fit okay with the tour pack?

Secondly is the CF any worse / better / no difference than non CF, is that even an option?

Thanks in advance!
Mike
