Putting in a warranty claime in for my front and back rims due to rust bubbling through around the spokes and outter rim.Based strictly on what I'm seeing on the outer surface of my chrome rims?
There is not a doubt in my mind that this is a very major REAL concern.
Granted, I'm not doing a state of the art job on keeping my wheels clean but there is a big difference from wiping off road grit and polishing out surface rust and corrosion pitting...which is what I find myself doing now.
Hi, I didn't take photos but the dealer did for the warranty clame, the wheel is still at the shop so when I go for the fuel rail job done ( hope it's this week) I will post them. The rust appeared around the rim where the spokes nipple come through ( not the spokes them self) and the surface that the safety stickers on, the photos will show better then I can explain.Where on the wheel did the chrome started to bubble on your rim? Any chance you kept a photo of bubble you could share?
The photos don't show it as bad as it is with the naked eyeWhere on the wheel did the chrome started to bubble on your rim? Any chance you kept a photo of bubble you could share?
