Having some difficulty figuring out the front spools needed for a quick release solo luggage rack for my 2019 chieftain DH. I have a Motherwell solo rack but missing the front spools on my bike. Wish I realized that earlier. Any help would be appreciated.

I think I found the answer in another thread. Looks like the 2019 come with the spools already installed. You have to remove the filler pieces to see them. I think this looks terrible. You have to remove and keep the filler pieces off if keeping the rack on.

I agree with you that the bikes don‘t look as clean with the upper fillers removed to accommodate the backrest. My Motherswell backrest ships tomorrow. It’s the price to pay to get the little woman to ride with me though!
