So from what I’m gathering there is no air intake that actually improves performance? So we are left with replacing the frame air filter with say a K&N, doing some sort of exhaust I’m looking at freedom true duals, cam upgrades like Lloyd street cams, and Lloyd’s or other ECU tunes for our performance?

 

Correct, a side air cleaner is only for looks and to enhance the throttle sound. The air duct is very restrictive on the side air cleaner. So, the only option is the K&N. If you are looking for performance, True duals are NOT the way to go. They have zero scavenging, and you will lose torque. A 2 into 1 is the way to go if you want a performance exhaust.

As for Lloyds cams, you will gain HP and loose torque unless you get his custom Sawicki 2 into 1 exhaust which helps re-gain the torque. Most of the legit engine modders and builders use Indian stage 2 cams for the 112 kits as you don't lose a lot of bottom with those.

Currently running with a modified Dynojet Engine/ECU tune in lieu of using my Lloydz tune. I'm still using my K&N filter in the frame inlet tube but changed the Indian OEM stage one air filter for a new S&S A1 I had purchased from Forever Rad.

 

S&s and sprint both make normal replacement filters for the challenger as well.

if you buy the s&s intake it comes with both filters.

 

Deep and throaty two into one, toce performance is your answer with their billet muffler. Or the s&s two into one full length

and no, the in frame filter is the only one unless you buy the side air cleaner assembly.

 

Hi guy's!!! Anybody can gave me the size of the cap, Diameter+ thickness and the recess on the back. I want to call a S&S kit and made the cover by myself on cnc machine. TX!!!

 

You can buy the kit without the cap, and then take measurements you need. As there are a few ways you can make it. Foreverrad.com has cnc caps for them as well
