I was in PA this weekend. As I was braking while coming up on a small left hand turn followed by a hard downhill right, back tire hit a little gravel. Tire slide for less than a second but it was long enough for me to put my foot down which was immediate caught up between the bike and the road. Thanks to my boots with steel toes, the result was a simple crack at the bottom of the fibula. Could've been MUCH worse.

Was planning on spending the night with my son but didn't think the leg would feel so good the next day. Also didn't like the idea of riding home in a cast or splint. That and the threat of rain lead me to ride the bike home the same day. Not fun riding a bike with a broken left leg for 6 hours  Having a heel toe shifter helped a lot!

Now I'm in a cast and down for six weeks

But hey, made it home in one piece!

Now time to find some Indian swag for my new ride!! :p

This thread has come along at the right time. I just had surgery to reattach my right arm bicep and tendon. No riding for six weeks minimum. Nice to see you turning lemons into lemonade with your humor!
