Rear view camera instead of mirrors?

I saw on you tube the other day a few guys ditching their mirrors and installing rear view cameras instead. The cameras can be wired to send a constant signal to the display mounted on the handlebars or fairing. I'm kinda knocking the idea around but I think I'd still hang on to the mirrors just in case. What do you guys think?

I don't see any advantage...
I can look away from the road for a second for a snapshot rear view in a mirror or look away from the road for a second for a snapshot rear view on a monitor...
Unless the monitor dies or the sun's shining on it, then I can't see anything in the monitor which takes my attention and concentration from the road ahead.
I think I'll stick with a mirror.

I think I'm gonna stick to my dial phone.

I don't think I'm prepared to make a step in that direction,,,
besides, they cant even seam to get the key fob to communicate reliably

I could see putting a backup camera on a goldwing - they have reverse :p

I put these little fisheye adjustable mirrors on my Dark Horse, and I have found out that I rely on these little gems more than the factory mirrors they are attached to. A little on the pricey side ($30.00 a pair for the size they are) but well worth the money, plus they are American made! Another bonus!

Can you please post a picture... I have someone who can bring this to me next week... I'm not sure if the dark horse mirrors and the scout mirrors are the same and I'd like to make sure I understand how it looks before I buy... Thanks in advance
