Power Vision CX issues

I've been reading and searching through the forum all day trying different things and still no luck. Happy as punch that I received my PVCX from Fuel Moto in super fast fashion (less than a week to deliver and I live on a Navy Base in Spain) this past week. Plugged it into my ECU and took a picture of the CMP info. E-mailed my CMP information to Fuel Moto and received the maps the same day. These guys are awesome.

Decided today to go ahead and install my also newly arrived Thunderstroke Performance air cleaner and flash the ECU. Air Cleaner install went well, no issues. Copied the files from from Fuel Moto to desktop, copy and pasted to PVCX and no issues. I can see the files while it is connected to the computer. I plugged the PVCX into the bike and paired it but when I went to Flash the ECU, there aren't any files! I tried many of the other things I read such as:
-Made sure I had the key with me.
-Tried it with the run switch both on and off
-Deleted all of the files off of the PVCX except the files Fuel Moto sent me
-Took VM off of the front of the file name
-Unhooked the bike's battery for 45 minutes

The only thing I can think of is the CMP on my bike is VMB8FEA4MZ and the file name I was sent is VMB80A4FMZ. I e-mailed Fuel Moto, but of course it is Saturday and they aren't open.

Also, I can't get the Power Core software to recognize the PVCX. Windows recognizes it as a PowerVision Drive, but I can't see it in Power Core. (version 1.9.6108.16447)

The PVCX shows version 1.1 build 6159.24950

When I start the bike with the PVCX plugged in it the display only shows the RPMs.

Any ideas?

Also, at what point (once it all starts working) does it backup the current configuration from the ECU?

Call Dynojet tech support. I had issues and they had me fixed up really quickly. The powercore software (firmware update) is what screwed me up and they got it fixed for me.
Talk to Dynojet. You have the wrong update. Did you do the suggested upgrade on the initial download? Don't, its for a different application.

Thanks. I will try and give DynoJet a call on Monday. I haven't done any upgrades to the firmware on the PVCX, it's as I received it. I was hoping DynoJet would have something on their site on how to correct the issue, but haven't been able to find anything.

I had drug the files on the desktop to the pvcx without opening them (they possibly were not unzipped). I went back to the computer and clicked on the files to open them and then moved them to the PVCX and they flashed this time.

The files I received aren't zip files. I think I had read that in your post in another thread. I don't even know how to open them because there isn't a program associated with the file types and the Power Core software doesn't recognize them.

Ya, I'm not computer savvy, I was just trying to help. My point was that the first time I just drug the icon on the desktop to the PVCX. The second time I clicked on it and drug the files them selves and it then worked.
I really don't remember how I opened the folder. I think I might have found it on the hard drive and opened the folder there.

New or different? Meaning should others have this new one as well to stay up to date? It gets so confusing since we don't see a listing of tunes or files to look at and try. I'd bet my tune is different than others.

The info is covered in the email sent to this specific user, it has zero relevance to others already running our tunes.

I had the same error message a week ago. Check to see if your PVCX still shows your bike on the screen. If not you'll need to download the stock file and load it onto the bike.
