I have more photos than I know what to do with. Photos of my bikes, photos of my truck, photos of other people's bikes and trucks, photos of landscapes, photos of abandoned buildings or historical ruins, photos of things unusual or impressive, and I'm starting to notice that I have a lot of photos of the open road. Motorcyclists, more than any other type of person that I've met, seem to have a unique appreciation for a good road. Whether it's unusually twisty, smooth as glass, eerily barren or desolate, a challenge to traverse, or just painfully scenic, I find myself stopping to photograph pavement almost as much as the machines I ride across it.

This thread is for sharing photos of the roads that stuck with you, pavement or dirt. Try to choose photos where the road is the focal point rather than your bike, we've all seen your bike already and yes it's still gorgeous. Also, if you can remember, try to let us know where the road is so we can enjoy it too.

That’s some beautiful country. I’d love to ride there, but it’s too far from the East Coast. I’m stuck with the BRP I guess.

Being born and raised in Texas and with a pretty good knowledge of Texas history, I have never visited Goliad. It is sacred ground in Texas, like that of the Alamo. We made a road trip yesterday down the coast and stopping at Goliad on the return leg.

The Presidio La Bahia (fort) is about 300 yards from the grave site, which lies about 100 ft behind this marker. The fort and associated grave site lies on the south side of this small town in a mature little neighborhood.
