PackTalk Bold hook-ups

Sorry to bring what appears to be an old subject but I have searched every where I can think of for help.

I'm attempting too install a Cardo PackTalk bold on my 1021 Road Master. I think I've almost got it but the music always plays through the speakers on the bike and not in the helmet. In addition, the speaker-headphone slider button behind the Music button is no longer visible and, as a result, I can't switch it manually switch it to the helmet speakers.

My setup is as follows:
1. "Indian Road Master 9030A" appears automatically in my phone's Blue Tooth's list when the bike switched on.
2. PackTalk is mapped to Cardo's channel 1 as "PackTalk" per Cardo's instruction manual. When pairing it appears on my I-Phone as "PackTalk".
3. When pairing PackTalk with Ride Command it pairs as "iPhone".
4. No other devices are paired.

In summary my iPhone has 2 paired devices: "Indian Road Master 9030A" and "PackTalk". The Ride Command has only one, the "iPhone".

Is there any thing I can do to retrieve the speaker-headphone slider switch?
I'd greatly appreciate any assistance I can get.

I don't know if this will help or not but here is my setup. I have the same comm system linked to my challenger ride command...
my helmet is linked to the bike and my iphone is linked to the bike...but my iphone IS NOT linked to my helmet directly

Same here. Do not allow the Cardo to connect to the phone. I had some issues as well and when I deleted the bluetooth pairing between Cardo and my phone and allowed the Cardo to only connect to the bike, all was good. Well almost good, Ride command always seems to add in it's own little tricks.
Depending on what app your using for your music via your phone, if your helmet is connected to your phone you should be able to switch it in the app. If your using fm or am, then it will only work through the bike speakers.
I tend to have the opposite problem: I have the Cardo Packtalk Slim paired to phone and bike, and my Samsung Galaxy S10+ paired to Cardo and bike. Usually, the Cardo will connect to the phone flawlessly, and the phone will connect to the bike flawlessly, but the Cardo will only connect to the bike sometimes, or I have to un-pair and re-pair the Cardo to the bike. I haven't tried paring the Cardo to the bike only, although I may try that this afternoon.
Don’t know if Cardo has this feature or not but Sena has an aux pairing that we use for the bike. When done right it’s flawless. Check to see if Cardo has something similar.

Cardo has two channels for paring devices, in addition to their Dynamic Mesh Communication system. Ch 1 is for your phone, and Ch 2 can be used for another phone, or anything else...most use it for GPS devices. Since I unpaired my phone from my Cardo, the phone a Cardo both connect to the bike with no issues.
As other have mentioned, unpair your Cardo from the phone since your phone is paired to the bike, then pair the Cardo to the bike through the headset pairing in channel 1 like it’s a phone.

Just a heads up on pairing the headset to RC and not the phone. You cannot control the music volume when doing this. The RC overrides it when the engine is running.
