No electrical power after accident - 2022 Indian Chief dark horse

Just thinking about this in simpler terms...have you considered that damage to the right side of the bike including the handlebar might have resulted in damage to the kill switch? Seeing as how the front brake lever is bent, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the impact on the side might have pinched or even severed the wires that snake inside the handlebar. could easily ground out the kill switch. May be a stretch? Easy enough to open and inspect as if you were changing the throttle grip same for power button.

I have a 2019 Chief dark horse and with or without the key the bike will temporarily turn on (actually I only need to push the power button and at least the electrical system fires up for a few seconds and then turns off i I don't key in the pin or have a fob). Best of luck! I love restoring bikes but man the newer electronics make it a real PITA!

well that's just it...the bike will power on but will not cycle the fuel pump...it does this for about 30 seconds to give me enough time to enter the PIN with the turn signals and start without a key at all. If I do not enter the PIN or present the FOB in 30 or so seconds it flashes a little security shield on the screen and shuts back off. So yes...a random stranger can absolutely walk up and press the power button (or kill switch) and see lights turn on and can make the turn signals blink by toggling them but without key or PIN can't start it or unlock the saddlebags or play with any mode stuff. Again, I'm speaking from the point of view for a 2019 Chief Dark Horse. I can tell instantly if the key was detected because with they key present power button or killswitch both turns on the electronics and primes the fuel pump. Maybe yours is different but I can't imagine they went backwards on the 22 models.

edit turns out you CAN actually mess with the mode stuff without the FOB (can reset an odometer or change ride mode if you're fast enough...)
