I have been blessed with a long standing relationship with DynoJet, having been a DynoJet Dyno owner/operator for 25 years along with selling/installing their Jet Kits since the early 80's, and I also go all the way back to be a beta tester for the original Power commander on my 1997 TL1000S. Add the tuning of their products spells a long successful history.

Add onto that a person (who shall remain anonymous unless they chime in) has even deeper connections to DynoJet than I do and has alerted me to some of the goings on thru the years.I found out about this Invision system coming soon so let me explain what I know, and remember!

The Invision is a specially programmed PV3 that connects to the skoots diagnostic port that has all the same abilities to see what is in the ECU, plus what info is going in and coming out. Also the ability to clear fault codes and very importantly perform DATA LOGGING. Viewing real time data on the PV3 screen is a nice feature.

At this time the ability to store maps and flash the ECU is being worked on and will be available in the future. In the future there will be a provision to purchase a license to allow tuning of the MG1 ECU with this device.

I have been workin on my skoot for a few weeks to add on the ability for this Invision to monitor and be able to see in logs ACTUAL air fuel ratio thru my dual band WBCX. I bought a take-off front header and modified it with wide band bungs for the wide band sensors needed to see AFR. I have had a PCV on my skoot for some time and did some FI tuning but I was SO in the dark with the actual needs of the engine. Having wide band sensors in my dyno tuning days absolutely spoiled me,and werking with the wide bans on my Chieftain years ago helped that skoot be a very good running skoot. Now I can refine my AFR over my seat of the pants, look at plug color has done.

This is a step in the right direction for performance minded peeps. Their is the opportunity thru logging and supplying logs to any of the FI tuning entities that offer tunes for the PP108 for further refinement of that tune.

The released date may be in Early Jan 2024, when I hear a date I will let u'all know.

Right now I have 2 screens populated actively showing RPM and TPS, here's a pic of TPS and RPM and my wide band install on the header. Got some bugs D/J has to work out so I can see AFR, but thats what I'm here to help with.

I have a 22 Pursuit. Do the current PCVs allow the removal of the speed limiter or does that require an actual bench tune?
Thanks for any info,
Daniel
Years ago some PCV's on some bikes allowed the engine rev limiter to be raised 500 rpm but PCV's never allowed raising speed limiters.

There is at this time no PVC units for the MG1 ECU that's in all PP108 engines and Chief models. They all have to be bench tuned.
Isn't PVC some kinda plastic tubing? LOL

The PCV has been replaced with the new PC6 and these ARE listed for the PP108'S up to 2023 . I have a PCV on my Challenger.

I meant the PV3/PVCX, which does allow speed limiter control

Hi Ray,is Craig Bennett also involved in this project?

From the info I have gathered, this is not a PV3/PVCX where you can flash the bike on your own. It's a piggyback old school PVC that works only on bench tuned ECU's from Dynojet.

So:

#1 The ECU must be benched tunes as it is now from Dynojet.
#2 The PVC autotune can adjust based on the bench tuned ECU for minor changes and variation.

It is not a PV3/PVCX where you can upload files from the ECU.

True at this time it can not flash the ECU but it will be able to in the future. Right now it is a PV3 with special programming allowing to it"see" whats inside the ECU and log data. So much was explained to me but I only remember some of the info. I guess I am in some way helping them to be a part of the development as evident by some channels not working on my ride.

As I was a long time DynoJet dyno owner/operator performing tuning with wide band monitoring I have missed that tuning advantage since I had to let the dyno go, and with all the FrankenRay mods I have done on this skoot I wanted some way for fine tuning, even tho the PCV is a basic and rudimentary unit I will accomplish so much more in fine tuning on my own and on the road than what I have been doing.

D/J is using this as a springboard to what they have in the works. I figgered I'd get on board now and help a great company.

That is the funniest and most self deceptive statement that has been used when someone buys a new skoot. "I'm NOT gonna modify or change anything, gonna leave it stock".So ur not gonna change the seat, or maybe a windshield, different grips, add cup holder(s), different bars, slip-ons, etc? A COMPLETELY stock as it came outa the crate skoot is like 1/100% of 1% of the skoots out there, a rarity for sure. Enjoy ur stock skoot.

I have 2 Pursuit friends/customers, both have upgraded the windshields for better wind protection, both with exhaust mods, one with a better seat. HMMM...

ALL my skoots have been blank canvas's for me to paint my version of what I want it to be, and most of those mods have been improvements in some way. As an example my skoot averaged 39-40 mpg stock, with my intake, exhaust and basic tuning I am averaging 45 mpg with better performance in all areas. YAY and YIPPEE!!!

You can't tune your bikes with it. It's not a PV3, and you still have to get the ECU bench flashed. It's like the PV3/PVCX and recording logs and sending them to Fuel Motto or CraigB and getting a tune. But you have to send the logs in and then the ECU to get bench flashed. So, the bench flash will be based on your bike's numbers.

What this will do, is allow the other tuners of the M1G (Lloydz, RVS, etc) to see the data logs and give you potentially better tunes.

So we might see Fuel Motto offer bench tunes which would be a good thing.

So you still have to send the ECU in or take the bike in to an authorized bench tuner.

I have been werking with D/J with this system on my Challenger since early December. I did NOT have to pair it to my skoot and it will only werk on those models listed. There is only one part number for all the models but I will check with my contact tomorrow.

Since I have had a PCV on my skoot for quite some time to enable some tuning over the flashed ECU I have long wished for the ability to see AFR, and to adjust as needed. My old dyno is 5 hours away and just have not had the time to make a trip. The Invision allows me to see AFR utilizing D/J's wide band system, and here is where I ran into problems.

Running the Invision off the diagnostic port I was able to see all the goodies in the ECU, and initially set up 2 channels, one for rpm and one for tps. I set the skoot up with w/b bungs and sensors and used all the goodies from the original WBCX kit from my TS111. Except the wbcx module could only communicate with the PVCX I had back then. Talk about some funky shenanigans the skoot was going thru! Come to find out that old box could not communicate with the Invision so I had to get the wbcx unit for the PV3. Got the new wbcx unit hooked up and was able populate 2 more channels for AFR1 and AFR2, but no actual AFR would display. Checked, checked and rechecked all my connections, even snipped off the ends of the w/b wires and re-tinned them to no avail. A half hour call to D/J last week with their tech Chris had me going thru a detailed diagnostic procedure to where it was surmised the wbcx they sent me was defective!! I sent it back and just the other day my contact at D/J emailed me and told me 'I was not crazy, the wbcx failed their bench test'! So hopefully I should have a replacement wbcx unit tomorrow and and will be able to see AFR. so EVERYONE pleas keep ur toes and fingers crossed for me.!!!

I posed questions to my contact at D/J and his answers.....

1...since the invision fits different skoots is it paired to the bike and not usable on another? I know I had to connect my pv3 to my skoot but dn't know if the unit is married to my skoot. – It is not paired to a vehicle and could be used on multiple vehicles if needed.

2 If an ecu has been flashed thru another company will the invision be able see and to log info, log files be send to DJ for analysis and fine tuning.?
We are not 100% sure on this but we believe it would still work although some companies (this is in the RZR world), when they flash the ECU digital wrench will no longer talk to it so that would mean the inVision would not either. Dynojet will not help you tune with a third party flash.

3....will DJ be offering a tuning & reflashing service whether an ecu is original, DJ flash or from another company? IF SO, what would be costs and turn around time? If you already have or will be using our Bench flash service then we will work with you to help you dial in your tune at no charge.

For my birthday today Fedupex finally showed up with the last piece of the puzzle today and I now have active AFR! YIPPEE !! Was able to get the idle AFR where I wanted it, so now gonna get Big Bubba out tonight and record some logs.
Also gonna run thru other channels to make sure they are accurate.
Pic is default for the w/bands when they warm up and engine not running.
