New Product for Challenger. Wind deflectors

Klock Werks has new wind deflectors that attach to the faring. Jury is still out for me. The fairing has enough bulk as is. They make it almost ridiculous IMO.

Klockwerks sold 100 of those at Daytona. I think they are trying to determine if there is a demand for them prior to offering them. The reviews from the Facebook pages are mixed. If you don't have stock bars, they won't help with air off your hands. But they may help with buffeting for taller riders.

Based on the video I think you’re correct. I actually just bought a set, I’ll throw them on and let y’all know. I’m a bit taller and I think they will take the wind off my shoulders. I also have a 11” flare screen on the way any day.
if the new defectors suck or just don’t look right, I’ll sell them off. No biggie

Nope! Why? There's plenty of protection from the fairing as-is. If you're getting wind on your shoulders, cgest or head buffeting you need to adjust the windscreen or get an appropriately sized one with a lip.

I'm confident that you will find the flare windscreen will do the trick.

Actually, on the Challenger /Pursuit platform, taller riders experience buffeting regardless of type of windscreen due to the fact that the fairing is further forward, and you sit more on the bike than in the bike like the 111/116 platforms. And most taller riders have seats that sit the further back as well.

So, anyone that is over 6'3" will experience buffeting on the Challenger/Pursuit because they sit in the turbulence zone.

Mkbcaptain: I look forward to your review. Do you have stock bars on your Challenger? I am primarily looking to take the cold wind off my hands in late fall and early spring riding. Also let us know the “degree of difficulty” of the installation….Thanks

Wilco. I do have stock bars, but I have some 12” ales on the way, so I will comment on those once they are installed.
New 11” flare windscreen installed. Very very happy with it! In the full down position at speeds lover than 45-50mm h no buffering on my head and no wind whatsoever on my hands. Speeds greater than 55mph I get buffeting on my head so I raise it and that goes away, but then I get wind on my hands. I think the new faring wind deflectors will perfect this.

I’ll go out on a limb here- but I dig they way those deflectors look.

Maybe it’s because they’re on an orange bike and orange can do no wrong.

I’m seriously considering plasti-dipping mine red when they come in 😳😅
I'm good with functional riding improvements fellow riders......but jeepers....we're riding motorcycles, aren't we? If you're concerned about some high speed buffeting, wind in your face, cold hands, then maybe you should be driving a convertible with the top up. They don't necessarily look bad, but what about cross wind, riding in the rain, lane splitting in CA, etc? Have they done "turbulence testing" to see what changes, if any under, those conditions? Baron had it right; if your 15" apes are above the top of the fairing and you normally "cruise" at 95MPH, these won't do anything for your hands.

I wonder if when the first guy to Throw a windscreen on a car if some dude said “jeepers, why don’t you just sit in your house!”

Maybe these deflectors are big enough to incorporate some mirrors in them. Thus removing the ones on the bars. Just a thought.
