We will be riding from Nashville to Washington DC starting next April 18. A group of friends in Calgary have booked two semis to ship 37 bikes to Nashville. Ride the roads towards DC and area then have the bikes picked up there.

My question is what can we expect for weather and riding conditions?
What should we see along the way?
Thanks

You should definitely plan on the Cherohala Skyway, the Tail of the Dragon, at least some part of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive, a stop in Asheville for the Biltmore House, and a stay at the Switzerland Inn. That's off the top of my head.

The weather on that route in April... yikes. It's truly a random time of year. You could have beautiful, warm spring days with crisp mornings, you could have rain, snow, sleet, or an ice storm. It will still be cool in the elevations, but those roads I mentioned above - it would be totally worth it. You'll have to pray and watch the weather forecasts as your trip draws near.
