I have a Springfield Darkhorse and heat off the rear cylinder was a huge issue for me. My dealer recommended the Captain Itch heat shield - looks really nice and deflects the heat perfectly. May be an option if she doesn't want loud pipes.
I watched videos to find one I could live with sound wise for my Scout. Maybe do the same for the Chieftain? A hot topic is getting rid of the catalytic converter in the stock exhaust system, and that's suppose to help without interfering with the performance.
Update, I just caved in and order the Indian bags. So no need for suggestions but I would still love to see photos of all your bikes! :)
I just found this forum and happy to have found this distraction from all the horrible stuff happening in this world right now.
I'm a Canadian...
I am looking to purchase a 2017 Indian Scout to replace my 2007 Vulcan 900 Classic. Just wondering if there are any fellow female riders on this forum? I would be interested in hearing about your previous ride and your current one.
Has anyone with a Springfield installed the reduced reach bar? If so, what was your experience? Can you share a ballpark cost of the parts/install if installed by your dealer?
Thanks for any info!
