Can only speak for Mother Road. I liked mine a lot better when I switched out to 4" springs. The 5" springs that ship with it are very strong/rigid. Took it on a long trip and didn't experience any discomfort until after about 6 hours or so but as far as I know, this may happen with all seats. Shifting my weight to one side and then the other worked pretty good to keep on going. They are well made with very thick leather. I found you don't really need to bolt the bottom of the spring down - it ain't going anywhere and it allows faster access to the battery.

I started to get a Corbin but they (Corbin) said it would not work with the Indian luggage rack. Pretty sure some have done this. I didn't feel like arguing so I went with Mother Road as I liked the aesthetic better. The Corbin seats do look comfy, though and well made.

I had a 2000 Chief with well over 100,000 miles on it. A Corbin seat was on the bike the whole time. When I got a Chieftain, my first change was to a close Corbin seat. Some complain they are too hard, but they work for me very well.
I had a tractor seat on a HD Springer and loved it also. Took it on several long trips and it worked well; however, the backrest option on a Corbin really makes a difference.
Witch option is good? Really just personal preference I suppose.

I was going for looks first and comfort 2nd. I decided that the Mother Roads Tractor with the Rigid mount fit the style I was going for. I paid extra for additional gel padding, & special leather that was thicker. To me the rest of the tractor seats do not look as nice but that is only my opinion. As far as comfort I find it a lot better than the OEM seat. The main issue was the suspension which was changed in the rear and now the front forks are getting changed out before this riding season. Good luck with whatever you choose. The Indian bikes are some of the best looking and most unique bikes on the road IMO, so there isn't much you can do to make them look bad. They will always look better than most bikes on the road regardless!

They are a lot more comfortable than they look, no?

A couple of more things about Mother Road:

1. They sometimes have a 15% discount. I got my black diamond Scout seat with gel padding for $110 off. If so inclined, give them a call (314-972-4305) and ask when they are running their next discount. They don't respond well to email.

2. Mine had 2 day shipping (Missouri to Texas). They're either really fast or had something on the shelf.

My seat with 4" springs (ebay). Backrest not included. :p

Yes, they are pretty comfortable despite being thin. I have the rigid without springs and I am fine with it. The suspension had to be changed though which made a world of a difference. Your bike looks nice, as well as ready to hit the roads! haha
